Baltic states, Poland call Nord Stream 2 political project
VILNIUS, May 10 (PRIME) -- Prime ministers of the Baltic states and Poland met in Tallinn on Monday to declare that the Nord Stream 2 pipeline is not only an economic, but also a political project.
“We believe (Nord Stream 2) is not only an economic or business project. It may hurt the European gas market, and I confirm that Lithuania’s position will not alter,” Prime Minister Saulius Skvernelis said.
The Polish government head Beata Szydlo said that she sees the project as political and is sure it may hurt European energy integration.
